Fourteenth
and fifteenth century: The time of troubles rom
1337 to 1453, the Hundred Years War between France
and England: in 1346, the French chivalry crushed at Crécy,
the French countryside were devastated by the "flayers", famines and
epidemics follow (Black Plague of 1348 ) involving peasant revolts (Jacquerie
of 1358). Near 1380, Du Guesclin temporarily restores
the situation, but the kingdom of France is devastated.

At the end of the fourteenth century and early fifteenth century, a terrible civil
war between the Armagnacs and the Burgundians, allies of the English. The army
of the king of France is crushed at Agincourt
in 1415, the kingdom of France is threatened with extinction. In 1428, Joan
of Arc, at the head of the army of Charles VII, took Orleans. Charles
VII ends the civil war be reconciled with the Duke of Burgundy, is reorganizing
its army (Companies Ordinance, powerful artillery ), ends up hunting the English
and ends the Hundred Years War (1453).
